Tukutana ("working together...with hope) is the organization we are going to work with on our journey to Uganda. Our friend, Roxanne Robbins, is the director of this organization. For the past three years she has lived in Uganda. During her time there, she has rescued several boys and girls from the streets, adopted an AIDS orphan and fostered another, served and comforted dying children, provided crucial supplies for pediatric cancer patients, and established a program to help widows and impoverished mothers provide holistic care for their children.
This September, Roxanne hopes to open a Tukutana vocational school in Kampala and is currently raising money toward that end. If you are interested in joining us in partering with her work, please visit the
